MULUNGUSHI UNIVERSITY

Partnering with Mulungushi University School of Health Science in Livingstone, Zambia, we reached 19 Students from the Medicine and Surgery Program who are in need of emergency funding tuition and funding assistance.  These students are in the newest of the few Medical Schools in Zambia and are located in the most remote location to be trained and attend to an underserved community.  S.R.E.I. is excited about this new collaboration to assist in bolstering the number of healthcare professionals in rural areas of the country.

PESTALOZZI WORLD ZAMBIA ALUMNUS AID

Five students from a collaborating organization, three of whom are refugees in Zambia, all have been awarded MasterCard Scholarships at the American University in Nairobi, Kenya.  Funding for per-scholarship medical testing and vaccinations had presented a challenge for the students.  S.R.E.I. was able to help bridge the costs of medical screening and travel documentation for these bright and aspiring scholars.

"I am currently studying INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY at the United states international university Africa in Kenya (USIU-AFRICA).  I would wish to say thank you for the financial assistance that you hindered me as I was preparing for my travel to university. I was at first stranded and did not know how I would have managed to pay for the documents needed for the trip. Once again thank you for coming to my aid and saving me during my stressful period. I can now happily confirm that I have traveled well and so far have settled into my new environment."

"I write this email to appreciate you for the funding that I received when I was traveling to Kenya for school.  I am a Pestalozzi alumnus who is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Technology at the United States International University in Nairobi. The funding that I received helped me with yellow fever vaccinations and COVID-19 tests that were required for my entry into Kenya.  Without your help, it was going to be extremely difficult for me to find the funds needed for my travel. Due to your assistance, my journey was a success. I, therefore, write this email to show my maximum gratitude for the help that I received.  After my studies, I look forward to paying back to Pestalozzi world for everything that you have done for me throughout my 7-year stay at the institution.  Once again, thank you very much."

Regards,

Francis

"I am one of the students whom you offered financial aid in the completion of travel documentation with. I won a full-based scholarship from Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program to pursue information Systems and Technology at the United States International University-Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate you for the help you offered and may God bless you with even more because without your assistance I have always wondered how things were going to go as the funds that were needed were beyond my parent's ability.  I am passionate about learning about how the globe keeps evolving in terms of technology and I want to play a role in the evolution. Once again thank you very much and may you keep up with the same spirit to assist even more souls."

"Firstly, thank you very much for the donation made to help me. It meant so much to me and my family and we will eternally remain grateful.  I was born and raised in the Maheba refugee camp. Now, with the donation, I was able to get my travel requirements and travel without any challenges. I am now at United States International University-Africa where I am Majoring in Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Technology. Now that I have an opportunity to study at the United States International University-Africa, my dreams have become a reality. The best part is that I am able to focus without having to worry about where I was going to get money to buy a few clothes and toiletries to be used in my first months of being in school.  I will always remember your kindness every single day that I am able to attend class and hopefully in the future, I will be able to help others just like you have helped me. Thank you."

Yours Faithfully,

Edna

Lawrence is from Lusaka, Zambia, a tiny country in sub-Sarah Africa. He will be studying Molecular Biology and Genetics at Western New Mexico University. As an aspiring young scientist, he's has always had an inquisitive nature; asking questions and eager to learn and discover. In the future, he desires to pursue a career in research to satisfy his curiosities about science, and go for his PhD.  The driving force behind his academic ambitions is his passion  and commitment to give back to his community.  By perusing higher education and gaining knowledge, skills and experience over the course of his studies, he wishes to acquire tools that would allow him to uplift and inspire kids similar to his disadvantaged and under-resourced background.  Apart from his interest in the sciences, he is also a very talented artist, who loves classical drawing and painting.  He believes art is a power that moves us because it serves a communication tool that can be understood by all.
